Welcome!

I am a synthetic bioinorganic chemist looking for an academic faculty position in which I can teach and direct undergraduate research. My goal is to combine both mechanistic inorganic and environmental chemistry in a rigorous interdisciplinary research program for undergraduates.

I am currently a post-doctoral scholar in Professor Alison Butler’s laboratory at the Unversity of California- Santa Barbara. Due to my graduate research in mechanistic inorganic chemistry in Professor Julie Kovacs’ laboratory at the University of Washington-Seattle, I bring a unique perspective to the environmental bioinorganic project.

Between graduate studies and postdoctoral work, I was a visiting assistant professor in the chemistry department at Western Washington University. As a full-time lecturer in general chemistry and inorganic chemistry, I developed my enthusiasm for teaching and mentoring a diverse group of students.
